About Me

hype

At first I put a lot of stuff here describing the degrees I had earned and the places I had worked…defining my strengths and talents ! Big deal :-)…does it really matter that much ? Perhaps they do add some value in the big scheme of things, but are in no way a measure of ones true potential. Like Calvin here says so preceptively, seems like being able to ‘sell’ yourself is all it takes 🙂

Are we only defined by the labels given by colleges and universities  or awards given by such and such ? It took me sometime to realize this…what YOU really are is not what the world tells you are !

And what can we tell about our Education ‘one glove fits all’ system 🙂

education system

Einstein got it right. He also said, “Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school ” 🙂 What you have internalized is what matters and what remains and defines you !

I tell this often to my children…”what you don’t know creates a vaccum, a gap in your brain that only that knowledge can fill “…read it somewhere…and it stuck.

monkeysI learn a lot from my two monkeys each day…even as I teach them. I found the best way to keep them interested in learning is to spike their natural curiosity. Learning  is and should be made fun for children !

schooling  Finally, learning never stops…the more scientists uncover, the more we realize there is to know. But if  the scientists knew what they were doing, it would not be called ‘research’ now, would it ? 🙂

And looking at the big picture…where do we stand ?
